Hong Kong has over 130 official trails, and thousands more. This book doesn't try to cover all of them. It covers the 26 that matter most: the ones with the views, the history, and the character that make Hong Kong's natural landscape worth celebrating. Curation was a deliberate choice. A book that tried to include everything would end up representing nothing.

Who made this and why?

Iconic Hikes Hong Kong was created by a Hong Konger who noticed something was missing. Every cultural object about Hong Kong celebrated the urban: the trams, the skyline, the harbour. Nobody had made something for the other side of Hong Kong and this book is that something.
